So Many Things

To all my friends, followers and stalkers..... We have so many things to discuss, yet so little time. I would love to make separate posts for all the wonderful things we need to talk about but this post will have to do. So, hang on because we have some catching up to do! :)

I feel like we haven't been home at all lately, which means the laundry that was to get done this weekend is spilling out of hamper onto the floor. I have got to do the laundry tonight or else Drew will be running around without any clothes on. YIKES!

We had a lovely Mother's Day last Sunday. We took mom to breakfast at Old West Cafe. SOOO GOOD!! Brooks, Kendall, Drew & I took family pictures in from of Mom's stone house out on their property. I have been meaning to post those pictures but, yet again, BUSY!! Click here to see the exact post I would post... but on Kendall's blog. Kendall is so amazing, she can even take group pictures with herself in them! :) Love the pictures.. check out Kendall's photography website here.

Let's take a minute and discuss Dad's shirt. If he wears a button down shirt it is almost always plaid, sometimes a solid color. I do have to say I am so very proud of him for wearing this flowered, pearl-snapped shirt. Doesn't he look so cute? Very outside of the box for him. Mom, you look beautiful too!
Next, look at this black beauty! Drew got a new toy about a month ago, he's in love!!

Here we are about to go for a spin with the top off. Now we ride with the doors off too!! I feel a little exposed and pray we don't get hit or we roll over, but overall, it is FUN! It is VERY WINDY but fun on nice sunny days. I bought a special ballcap just for the Jeep. That darn pony wasn't holding all my hair in! Oh, Hobie likes the Jeep too!

Friday I talked Drew in to going for a walk on the Greenbelt (a local state park for trail riding, biking, walking, fishing). Since we were in the Jeep we didn't take much with us because locking it up is pointless... Anywho, we pulled up and it cost $5/person, we didn't have any cash so we drove to a gas station, got $20 out of the ATM, went inside to buy a pack of gum to break the $20 and went back to the Greenbelt. Plus the $3 ATM FEE. LOL!! At this point Drew was not very happy about spending $13 for a walk!!
The walk was very peaceful, you could hear the birdies chirping, water flowing down the river...

Snails slithering away....

Trains a chugging down the track...

A happy husband.....

And yes my friends, A SNAKE!!!!!!!!!! We were walking back and I stopped in my tracks and yelled, "OMG, OMG, OMG!!!" I couldn't even mutter the S-word (Snake that is), Drew finally saw what I was oh-my-goshing about and jumped too. He does not like snakes either I was not about to step over the snake and keep walking so Drew was throwing rocks at the snake and the darn thing would not slither away!!! Finally, Drew pinned the snake down and I ran around it, snapped a few pictures and was paranoid for the rest of the walk back and would only look where my feet went.

Good thing this thing was bright green!! I don't know if I would have seen it if it was brown. Drew said "that was probably the first snake I ever let go without killing." hehe!

This is how scared I was!!!!! EEEKKKK!

Does anyone have a bucket list? I do!! All those wonderful things you want to do before you kick the bucket. I'm so very excited that I got to check one off the list this past weekend. This one was ranked pretty high, I mean WAY up there. I GOT TO SEE THE BEACH BOYS IN CONCERT!!!! WAHOO!!

Kendall and Brooks invited us to go and I couldn't have been more thrilled. We had pretty good seats and the concert was SO AWESOME!! After they sang 2 songs they joked that they had to take an intermission followed by a nap!! Keep in mind, The Beach Boys started in 1961 and only have 2 originals left but it didn't sound any different. Kendall and I might be The Beach Boys youngest fans. We sang our little hearts out to every word.

Notice the 'blue hair' in the background.

The concert was at Winstar Casino in Oklahoma so we had to do a little gambling. Kendall and I weren't too thrilled. I would rather be saving my money for a Coach purse.

Thanks for taking us Kendall and Brooks!

Aww..thanks for playing catch-up! Now if only I would do the same...HA!

That snake was scary. In the first pic I thought it was a leaf. I am pretty sure that I have never seen a snake that bright and GREEN of all colors. It was not until the second picture that I figured out what I was supposed to be looking for! G-ROSS!

Chris and I can never remember if it's red touch black or yellow touch black is a friend of Jack. So much for mnemonic devices and faulty memories. I adhere to the policy of Sneak Away Slowly/Don't Make Eye Contact With the Beast.

That's a pretty color of green on that snake, though. Maybe you could have had yourself a vibrant new clutch purse or cell phone cover. Don't tell PETA.

I can't believe the Greenbelt charges $5 now. Crazy! Dustin and I used to go walking there. We need to go for a ride in the Jeep sometime!
